| IDENTITY-PURPOSE:

The Agricultural Cooperative Union of Xanthi was found
in 1927. Alexander Baltatzis, one of the Greek greatest cooperative men,
had been its founder. It is a profitable Cooperative Organisation. It is
a Union that consists of 80 out of 100 agricultural cooperatives in Xanthi,
having 6100 members. It is administrated by a five member board of directors
who change every three years. Agricultural Cooperative Union's board of
directors is elected by the Cooperatives' Represntatives' Meeting.
The purpose of the Agricultural Cooperative Union of Xanthi is the Agricultural Cooperatives' coordination and promotion and furthermore their members' coordination and well being. |
